Casino Jackpot : Like.fm is how social music should work

First, download and install the free plug-in for iTunes. (There's also a WinAmp

version for you holdouts.) Whenever you play a song from iTunes, Like.fm posts the title and artist on a public Web page.

Other users can then click on the "play"
ffxiv powerlevelingbutton on that page and if a video of the song exists on YouTube, it'll start playing. If you link Like.fm to your

Facebook profile, you can create a new "Music" tab on your profile that lists all the songs you've played. Here, your friends

can click on any song title on that profile page and their browser will open to the Like.fm page, where the YouTube video

will begin playing in a small window.

There's also a separate plug-in for the Chrome
ffxiv powerlevelingand Safari browsers. Install it, and any time you play a song on YouTube or Pandora (other sites are

coming soon), it will post that song to your Like.fm profile.

The service isn't perfect--it didn't recognize several songs when I played them on YouTube, and currently the only way to

find friends on the service is if you both link your
ffxiv powerleveling accounts to Facebook. But conceptually, this is how social music is supposed to work: you can actually

listen to music your friends are playing, rather than being guided to 30-second samples in an effort to get you to buy the

download.

Its name was changed to reflect a new discipline, as, under pressure

from attorneys general, Craigslist
Final Fantasy XIV Power

leveling declared it would manually screen every ad in its newly named Adult Services section.

It is arguable whether the content of this new section truly changed. Some would say it was adult business as usual.

(Credit: Screenshot: Chris Matyszczyk/CNET)
Recently, Craigslist founder Craig Newmark gave a troubling if spontaneous interview to CNN, in which he seemed unable to

answer questions about whether the site was facilitating child prostitution. Then, instead of answering the specific charges,

Craigslist CEO Jim Buckmaster took to the company's blog to assail the CNN reporter's methods.

Perhaps it was Newmark's interview that led to 17 attorneys general getting together last week to demand the removal of the

Adult Services section.

In a joint letter to Craigslist, the attorneys
ffxiv powerleveling general said, "No amount of money...can justify the scourge of illegal prostitution and the suffering of

the women and children who will continue to be victimized in the market and trafficking provided by Craigslist."

It is surely, though, splendidly naive to think Craigslist would somehow be alone in providing a forum for prostitution ads.

Whether they be local free newspapers or other sites, like eBay, there are plenty of outlets for services that some deem

should be legalized.

However, Craigslist is in the
ffxiv powerlevelingunfortunate

position of being high-profile and successful and has become a very easy target in what is a far more complex and nuanced

issue than the attorneys general are making out.

I have reached out to Craigslist for comment and will update.

Casino Igre : World's best sounding 3D Blu-ray

    Autor: dingding18
Naslov: World's best sounding 3D Blu-ray
Poslano: 06.Rujan.2010 u 09:39

World's best sounding 3D Blu-ray

I've referred to the AIX Records "Audio Calibration Disc & HD Music Sampler" Blu-ray in a

bunch of my CNET equipment reviews because it's loaded with terrific sounding Dolby TrueHD

and DTS Master Audio music tracks. AIX refrains from using dynamic range compression,

equalization or signal processing, so the sound is as close to being at the original

session as can be.

Now, with the release of "Goldberg Variations Acoustica" AIX has ventured into producing

original 3D video
ffxiv power levelingprogramming. The new

Blu-ray was shot with four prototype Panasonic 3D A1

cameras, and the sound was recorded in 96 kHz/24-bit high-resolution audio.

This 3D Blu-ray boasts outstanding sound quality.

(Credit: AIX Records) "Goldberg" maintains AIX's high standards for sound quality, but I'm

an audio guy, so I called upon two of my video reviewer CNET colleagues, David Katzmaier

and Matthew Moskovciak, to comment on the disc's 3D picture quality. They watched the Blu-

ray on a Panasonic TC-P65VT25 display and were generally impressed. They liked the

picture's depth, but expressed concerns about visible crosstalk, which can appear as

doubled outlines around onscreen objects like the stand up bass' strings. Katzmaier and

Moskovciak also felt the image wasn't as sharp as it could have been. The crosstalk

artifacts varied from shot to shot, but Moskovciak still felt the "Goldberg" Blu-ray might

be the best live action 3D picture he's seen *in a home theater setting* (the 3D image

quality of "Avatar" in a movie theater was better).

Regarding the crosstalk, Katzmaier felt it wasn't the disc's fault, and the crosstalk might

not show up on future generations of 3D TVs. "Goldberg" is fully compatible with standard

2D Blu-ray players and displays, so you can enjoy the disc even if you don't own a 3D set.

Sonically, "Goldberg" is a
ffxiv power levelingknockout and

musically, it's a jazz interpretation of Bach's

famous composition. Like most AIX titles the disc offers two surround mixes, "Audience,"

meaning the sound is from the audience's perspective, and "Stage," which puts you on stage

among the musicians. It's nice to have the choice, though I much prefer the "Audience"

perspective. In either case, Laurence Juber's acoustic guitar, Kevin Axt's bass, M.B.

Gordy's drums, and Alberto Lopez' percussion all sound natural and three-dimensionally

present. Once you get used to hearing AIX discs most standard commercially released

recordings sound hopelessly flat and artificially processed. "Goldberg" is the best

sounding Blu-ray I own.

The AIX calibration Blu-ray may help you extract better sound from your system.

(Credit: AIX Records) Remember,
ffxiv power leveling great

sounding gear can't make lousy sounding recordings

sound any better than they really are. So before you upgrade your home theater buy a couple

of AIX discs and see how good your system is right now.

I almost forgot to mention it, but the AIX Records "Audio Calibration Disc & HD Music

Sampler" Blu-ray contains useful home theater setup tests such as the "Subwoofer Crossover

Test" and "System Setup Tutorial" to help fine-tune your sound.

More AIX Records 3D Music Album titles are currently in production and will be released

later this year.

And where Samsung will sell the Tab only through phone companies as a kind of smartphone on steroids, Toshiba's

Folio will like the iPad come in 3G and non-3G models when it goes on sale in Europe in the fourth quarter.

The Folio will cost 399 euros (about $511) for the version with just Wi-Fi networking; the 3G version price jumps to 499

euros (about $639). It's got a 10.1-inch multitouch screen with 1024x600-pixel resolution, an Nvidia Tegra processor, stereo

speakers, a 1.3-megapixel Webcam, two USB ports, an SD card slot, an HDMI connector for sending video to other screens,

Bluetooth communications, and 16GB of memory.

Toshiba's Android embrace at IFA (photos)
It weighs 760 grams--about the same as an iPad with 3G abilities. Most of these are useful, so let's hope this doesn't portend the migration to

Android of the crapware
FF14 Power leveling that bogs down

(and subsidizes) many Windows PCs.

I found the Folio 100 to be comfortable to hold and easy enough to use for basic tasks. I found the

interface easy to dive into--but then, I'm already familiar with Android quirks, such as how to make the virtual keyboard pop

up when you need it and go away when you're done.

The Folio 100 also taps into the Toshiba Place service. Toshiba Place provides a number of elements. First, it lets people

log on to a single site that can then post content elsewhere, including Facebook and DailyMotion. Second, it's got the Market

Place to buy music, videos, e-books, games, news, and other content that's available on all Toshiba Places-equipped devices.

That includes Folios, Toshiba laptops, and some TVs. The music service is powered by 7Digital, Toshiba said.

Like the Samsung Galaxy Tab, the Folio uses Android 2.2, aka Froyo.
Poker Alati : Thursday

    Autor: liyuwdd
Naslov: willing to pay
Poslano: 03.Rujan.2010 u 04:04

With McAfee deal, Intel to bake in security

In the future, you may not have to buy antivirus software for your laptops and

mobile devices if Intel is able to live up to the promise of integrating technology

from acquisition target McAfee, experts said on Thursday.

In announcing its plans to acquire security company McAfee for $7.68 billion, Intel

executives said they see security as being as critical to computing as performance

and connectivity and that they plan to combine security with its hardware and expand

further into the mobile market.

While Intel has been pushing more and more functionality down into the chips, a

marriage with McAfee will mark a shift away from the security firm's traditional

product strategy, experts told CNET.

"Delivering security in Intel products and platforms is a huge departure from the

way McAfee has delivered security technology in the past, as an add-on software

product to an insecure platform," said Chris Wysopal, chief technology officer at

Veracode. "This is where security needs to be, baked in."

The strategy dovetails nicely with the fast adoption of mobile devices and the more

guarded move to cloud computing, where data is stored on remote servers instead of

on local computers and accessed over the Internet, he said.

"I think this acquisition shows the critical importance of security in our now

mobile, increasingly cloud-based, everything-always-connected world," he added.

"Everyone building hardware and software needs to be thinking about the security of

those products from the very beginning of their design, and customers are going to

demand it. Anything less is not going to cut it in the computing environment of

today."

For businesses in the mobile security market, the deal is seen as further validation

that they are on the right track.

"Intel's acquisition of McAfee signals to the industry that smartphones and other

connected devices are joining the web of devices we trust with critical data and

that these devices need to be protected," said John Hering, chief executive of

Lookout. "We have seen threats rising across the major mobile platforms and expect

this trend to increase as mobile devices continue to become the dominant computing

platform."

Don't expect to see security software hardwired onto the chip, said Tim Bajarin,

president of analyst company Creative Strategies. Rather, there will likely be a

bridge on the core CPU (central processing unit) to a security element, much like

there are bridges to additional graphics chips and modems, he said.

"This particular deal allows Intel and McAfee to work together to tie future

generations of software security to the processor via some sort of SOC (system-on-a

-chip) solution," Bajarin said. "Today if a hacker wants to come into a system it

almost always is done through software. But Intel and McAfee are capable of adding

even another level of security, which would make a hacker have to break the hardware

code as well as the software code."

McAfee will still sell antivirus and other security software, but their work with

Intel could change the technology landscape fundamentally down the road, according

to Bajarin.

"Intel becomes their strategic partner for them to innovate with on next-generation

security software that can go all the way down to the chip level, and that has not

been done yet by anybody," he said. "It will be fascinating to watch not only how

they innovate, but how they go about securing everything from servers and PCs to

wireless devices. That will be their challenge."

Marc Maiffret, chief technology officer at eEye Digital Security, predicted Intel

would add the security in hardware at the device level but not necessarily at the

chip level, while eventually phasing out McAfee's software-based products.

"TVs and other devices and cars continue to have more and more embedded Internet

connectivity and really are becoming computers, and Intel sees the opportunity to

bring McAfee's intrusion prevention and antivirus across all the devices," he said.

"Intel was in the antivirus security market in the late '90s with the LANDesk

product, but they sold it off to Symantec, so they definitely are not going to be

getting back into that classic security software business."

Several analysts questioned why Intel executives felt they need to acquire McAfee to

get the security enhancements in future products when they already have development

partnerships with McAfee and others.

"I think it's going to be more of a chipset assist than embedding everything in the

chip," said Josh Corman, research director for enterprise security at The 451 Group.

"And many of those opportunities will be open to McAfee's competitors...and have

been happening with joint development. They are going to continue to have

multiplatform support."

Peter Firstbrook of Gartner was similarly skeptical.

"If Intel creates some firmware hooks for McAfee to exploit, then other security

vendors can exploit those APIs as well," he said. "Most significantly, all the

antimalware vendors have had security products for cell phones for years, but nobody

has been willing to pay for it because the threat environment has been relatively

benign and the ISPs or device manufactures are building security into the network or

the device."

The shift to "baked-in" security and the focus on integration that the deal will

require will definitely impact McAfee's existing business, Chris Silva, a senior

vice president of research and service delivery for research firm IANS, predicted in

a blog post.

"We'll see a stagnation of innovation for McAfee's existing product line and a drain

of talent who leave the company seeking greener pastures at smaller, more-focused

vendors that are iterating on a product and security approach," he said.
cheap power leveling
buy cheap wow gold
